Applying graphics, color schemes, and typography to a piece of marketing material fuses the love I have for art and business. That's what keeps me going!

Tell me a bit about what you do for work and how you got where you are today.

I focus on brand, web design, and creative strategies. I got to where I am through confidence, dedication, and the belief that I can set my own career path. My journey has had its challenges, however my circle and support system have lifted me through any difficult times and helped propel my business to where it is today. ‍

What do you love about the work you do?

Applying graphics, color schemes, and typography to a piece of marketing material fuses the love I have for art and business. That's what keeps me going! Seeing a beautiful logo, or a color combination for a campaign, or well designed website brings me a certain joy and satisfaction that I can't compare to anything else.

What does a typical day look like for you?

I'm a father of 2 wonderful boys ages 2 and 3, so my day is nothing short of hectic most of the time lol. However there's still a routine that I somehow keep in order: morning calls and follow up with clients and potential clients, followed by a few 90-minute design sprints to get work done, then I usually end the day whenever my body tells me to.‍

What are some of your goals for the next 3-5 years?

My biggest goal is to expand and get a couple people on my team. Not sure if that'll be hiring employees or partnering with another creative, but I have come to the point where I can't handle all the projects alone anymore so I hope to make that move sooner than later. ‍

How do you use Catch to help manage your work?

Having a system that automates the process of separating my revenue for taxes is crucial. As a solopreneur, it becomes difficult to handle so many tasks and wear so many hats. With Catch I can worry about one less thing. And it's affordable! ‍What's one piece of advice you would give to someone just starting out in your field?Be patient. Nothing happens overnight. There will be tough times financially, but you have to stick to your plan and just keep moving forward. Adjust as you go. ‍
