It has been a nightmare trying to nail down health insurance going between W2 jobs. The process of onboarding with company-sponsored insurance and then having to switch is painful. Plus, with contract work, health insurance isn't an option. I like being in charge of my own benefits.

Tell us a little bit about the work you do and some of your career goals.

I'm currently in sales and marketing. I do contract based work with a mix of tech and service companies, and I also have a W2 job. I started my career by joining a tech start-up. I fell in love with the process and grind of an early company gaining traction. My career goals for the next 3-5 years include helping to bring more awesome products to market and ultimately contributing to changing the way people work and live.‍

Can you tell us more about what you love about working with early-stage companies?

I love working with people who are passionate about their products and services and that have a real motivation to be great and bring change into the word. I also really enjoy seeing sales/adoption go up and up! There is something so satisfying about helping a new company grow. It gives me a huge sense of accomplishment.‍

How did you find Catch and how are you using Catch?

I'm pretty sure I saw a Catch ad on Facebook and was intrigued. I use Catch to automatically contribute to my retirement, set aside money for 1099 taxes and contribute to funds for time-off, family leave and more all without thinking about it. It's awesome. I also used Catch to enroll in health insurance.‍

Why did you decide to use Catch to enroll in health insurance?

Health insurance is important because you never know what could happen - an accident or unexpected health issue could derail your life completely. In the past it has been a nightmare trying to nail down health insurance going between W2 jobs. The process of onboarding with company-sponsored insurance and then having to switch is painful. Plus, with contract work, health insurance [through an employer] isn't an option. I like being in charge of my own benefits.

I decided to use Catch to enroll in health insurance because the user experience throughout the Catch platform is amazing. I was impressed with the way Catch streamlined the decision making process for me.‍

What advice do you have for someone starting out in your field?

To someone just starting out in sales and marketing, specifically in tech, I'd say: when you're looking for the right company to work with, my advice is that a great team should check two boxes - the people should be wonderful, and so should the product.‍
