What is The Electronic Federal Tax Payment System (EFTPS)?
The Electronic Federal Tax Payment System (EFTPS) is a free service provided by the U.S. Department of the Treasury that allows individuals and businesses to pay their federal taxes electronically.
The service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and can be accessed through the EFTPS website or by phone.
How do I use it?
To use EFTPS, you’ll need to enroll in the service and create an account. You’ll provide some basic information about yourself, such as your name, Social Security number, and address. Once your account is set up, you can make payments using your bank account or a debit or credit card.
EFTPS allows you to schedule payments in advance, view your payment history, and receive confirmation of your payments. You can also use EFTPS to pay your self-employment taxes if you are self-employed.
Is Catch integrated with EFTPS?
Yes. Catch is integrated with EFTPS. You can pay your taxes through Catch yourself or automatically without having to call EFTPS or visit the website.
